Aussie Xmas

 

The Taylor Tribe has been lucky enough to spend time with some Taylors and Lockleys this xmas. In true Aussie fashion, almost every day has been spent on the beach except for xmas day which was spent with a whole bunch of awesome Lockleys, thanks to Cathy and Ian for having lunch at their place. Even had a chance to speak to Ant on the ship (love Skype)
To all those family members that we missed this year - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Looking forward to a great 2010 with lots of celebrations (especially 10.10.10)

Caitlyn: gets into our bed. Cameron is already there.
“Ooo, it’s warm in here”
Cameron: “Hamburger”
Caitlyn: “Mmm, I like Hamburgers”
“Hamburgers”
“Burgers.”
“I like Burgers.”
“Do you like burgers Hammy?”
Cameron: “Nup”
Caitlyn: “Oh.”
“I like Hamburgers”
“Can I have the pillow?”
Cameron: “No. You’ll need to go and get your own”
Caitlyn: “But I can’t (can’t is said in an American accent)”
Cameron: “Yes you can. You just need to go into your room and grab it”
Caitlyn: “Oh, ok”
Goes to get pillow in other room
Cameron: “Have you got it yet?”
Caitlyn: “No”
2 second pause
Cameron: “Have you got it yet?”
Caitlyn: “No!”
Cameron: in a whiny voice “Have you got it now?”
Caitlyn: sounding very annoyed “Yes!”
Caitlyn returns to room with pillow
Cameron: “Oh, I think we need another one”
Caitlyn: “Grrrr.” Then sounding resigned “ok”

Censorship won't stop the bad guys

The Governments plan to create a list of blacklisted sites is totally flawed. Of course I want my children protected but censoring the internet won't solve the problem.
Blocking one site will only warn the bad guys to open a new site. And how are the police going to investigate the real perpetrators if their web pages are blocked.

A Picture of Pure Joy

Cameron turned 5 this month and had an awesome time at his birthday party.
Above are just a couple of photos to illustrate just how much he loves birthday parties. Thanks to all who could make it and to his family interstate, down south and overseas that sent him their best wishes on the day. He loved it.

I just love it when Grae gets out his camera. Some extra cute photos of the kids. Taken during a Sunday stroll in a beautiful Sydney garden.

Caitlyn turns Two

2 years old!

Seems like only yesterday that this little girl entered our world, tiny, fragile and totally dependant on us.
Yet already she is running (especially likes to do the bolt in totally inappropriate places like shopping centres or near the edge of a lake), talking (especially likes saying "Na, na, na, na, na" after she has just got her way or won some sibling battle with Cameron) and learning to boogie with the best of us.

Happy Birthday Caitlyn!

Thanks to all those family and friends that were able to join us yesterday for her party. It was a fun and feasty time. Pity it went so quickly. I think I got to speak with each of you for about one minute each!

Muddy Fun

Spent a very short but awesome couple of days with the South Coast Taylors.
The kids had a ball, even in the rain....as you can see.

Cameron is the not so easy to see figure in the distance, having a great time sloshing in the mud and running with the dogs.
